The Convention Bureau, specialized in supporting professional events, offers resources and support from A to Z! Our goal is to facilitate first steps in the city and support projects to help events organizers, in order to make the congress a real success and a unique experience for all attendees.

Are you a researcher, Phd student, or association member? Do you want to apply to host an event in Toulouse? We will accompany you free of charge from the moment you bid!


A bid should include key information about the destination and the benefits expected for each delegate. The Convention Bureau will help to analyze the RFP and provide all the elements that will contribute to the success of the bid:

  • Detailed information about the destination: accessibility, capacity, venues and service providers;
  • Documentary and promotional resources: images, videos, brochures, etc.;
  • Contact with private and public local stakeholders, obtaining support letters;
  • Assistance in finding local professionals adapted to the project;
  • Organization of site-inspections;
  • and much more.


In order to attract large-scale congresses, Toulouse Metropole has set up a unique financial mechanism:

the "congress support fund": 1 million euros per year is dedicated to help local organising committees hosting large-scale international professional events, with strong economic benefits for the metropolis.

Large-scale conferences (more than 9,000 overnight stays) well as those promoting sectors of excellence are fully eligible, as well as certain international scientific conferences (for example being ranked by ICCA).

In order to be eligible for this financial scheme unique in its kind, events must be organized by national or international associations, learned societies, national or international professional federations, higher education and research establishments, or private-public consortiums with a predominance of public structures.


In order to host congresses in the best possible conditions, Toulouse has large range of high-performance venues, fully adapted to organizer’s needs, including 2 convention centers with two amphitheaters seating 500 people each and exhibition spaces (1,200 m2 and 2,000 m2).

Since 2020, the new Toulouse Exhibition and Convention Center - MEETT - has been housing a convention center and exhibition halls on more than 40,000 m2 of modular space, including a 3400 seats-theatre.

The infrastructure is part of a sustainable development approach and meeting not only the expectations of professionals but also the latest of the industry with facilities combining technology and versatility.


The Convention Bureau offers personalized support in order to provide each delegate an unforgettable memory of the event and the destination. Our “welcome pack” allows you to benefit services such as:

  • A welcome desk at the airport or at the Matabiau train station;
  • An application to help each delegate find and book hotel rooms;
  • Preferential rates (airlines, urban transport, soft mobility etc.);
  • Tourist documentation and city maps for each participant.
